Background, conducted by a professional horticulturist to ascertain the overall effectiveness when used in a common garden setting instead of general agricultural application,
The trial itself was conducted on two separate areas each containing five standard pumpkin plants, all plants were of same age and size and the two areas are referred to hereafter as A and B.
Area A was fed with a 20ml/10litre concentration of gumisil every ten days for 8 weeks.
Area B received no fertilisers at all for the trial period.
Both area A and area B were harvested for the four largest pumpkin respectively and photos of both area A and B are included for reference (image seen above).
Results,
Harvested fruit from area A is exponentially larger than fruit from area B, plants grown in area A were several times larger than plants in area B and were considerably more vigorous, showed no sign of nutrient deficiency and produced an abundance of flowers and resulting fruit,
Observations,
Gumisil works almost instantly, plants show an increase in growth and vigour within a 48 hour period from feeding, increases drought resistance and prevented to a large degree any powdery mildew which is almost inevitable with pumpkin.
Summary,
I’ve spent a large number of years in the hydroponics industry and to say I’ve seen manufacturers make bold claims is an understatement, gumisil put simply makes no boasts or grandiose claims, it really is one of the most effective and stand out from the crowd fertilisers/growth stimulators I have ever trialled, I am currently trialling this product on carnivorous plants as due to gumisils peat based nature it is ideal for this application and next year will see me using gumisil liberally on every flowering and fruiting plant I grow, I thoroughly recommend this product, it is extremely cost effective, far cheaper than many leading brands of chemical fertiliser, it’s natural, needs no flushing prior to harvest and it stores indefinitely.
